MOSCOW, Apr 29 (PRIME) -- Head of Austrian oil and gas corporation OMV Rainer Seele said on Wednesday he was unaware of a possible delay in the launch of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline from the end of 2020 – January–March of 2021.
"I have no new information, I can only repeat what I heard from company Nord Stream AG: they plan and do everything to finish the construction until the end of the year or in the first quarter of next year the lastest. I have not received any new information or adjustment, or any additional data," Seele said at a conference call.
The Nord Stream-2 project envisages construction of two lines of a natural gas pipeline with an annual capacity of up to 55 billion cubic meters, running from the Russian shore to Germany under the Baltic Sea. Gazprom is implementing the project together with Germany’s E.ON and BASF, Royal Dutch Shell, Austria’s OMV, and France’s Engie.
